Director Ali Abbas Zafar has started 2021 on a happy note.
On Tuesday, he took to social media to introduce his bride Alicia, and wrote a sweet note: ‘1400 years ago Imam Ali said to Fatimah Al- Zahra’s, all my worries and sadness disappears when I look at your face, I feel the same Alicia Zafar. Mine for life.’
Ali first hinted at his wedding on Sunday, when he shared a picture of them holding hands on Instagram and captioned it, ‘Bismillah’

Katrina Kaif, who shares a great bond with Ali who directed her in three films — Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Tiger Zinda Hai and Bharat — was among the first to congratulate the newlyweds on Instagram.
Quite a few film folk followed suit — Sunil Grover, Casting Director Shanoo Sharma, Arjun Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Angad Bedi, Elli AvrRam, Huma Qureshi and Anup Sonii.

Ali has directed Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai and Bharat. He also produced the Ishaan Khattar-Ananya Panday starrer, Khaali Peeli.
He will make his digital debut with Tandav starring Saif Ali Khan, Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub, Dimple Kapadia, Kritika Kamra, Gauahar Khan, Sarah Jane Dias, Sunil Grover, Dino Morea, Anuup Sonii, Kumud Mishra and Sandhya Mridul.
The Web series streams on Netflix from January 15.
