RBI to sell Rs 20,000 crore government securities, to be auctioned in two installments

New Delhi: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has made a big announcement on Tuesday. RBI has announced that it is going to sell ‘Open Market Operations’ (OMO) of government securities worth Rs 20,000 crore in two phases. The RBI purchases and sells government securities and treasury bills under ‘open market operations’.

The Reserve Bank of India has stated that, reviewing the current and emerging liquidity and market conditions, the Reserve Bank has conducted the purchase and sale of government securities under ‘Open Market Operations’ (OMO) for a total amount of Rs 20,000 crore. Have decided to do.

Giving information, sources said that it will include two installments of Rs 10,000 crore. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has said that, the auction process for this will be conducted on August 27 and September 3.
