Shiv Nada’s daughter Roshni Malhotra appointed as HCL Technology Chairman

New Delhi: Business tycoon Shiv Nadar has left the post of chairman of HCL Technology. The chairperson of HCL Technology has now been given in the hands of Roshni Nadar Malhotra, the daughter of Shiv Nadar. However, Shiv Nadar will continue to be the Managing Director and Chief Strategy Officer of the company. The company has told in the information given to the stock market that, ‘Mr. Nader will continue to be the MD and Chief Strategy Officer of the company and his daughter Roshni will take over the post of Chairman. ‘

Significantly, 38-year-old Roshni Malhotra was the CEO and non-executive director of the company till now. She is among the richest women in the country. As per IIFL wealth Haroon ranking 2019, her total assets are around Rs 36,800 crore. Roshni completed her initial studies from Vasant Valley School in Delhi and received her communication education from Northwestern University, USA. She holds an MBA degree from the Kellogg School of Management.

Shiv Nadar established HCL Technologies and Shiv Nadar Foundation. He founded HCL in the 70s and transformed a small IT hardware company into a stalwart enterprise in three decades of hard work and dedication. He has also been awarded the Padma Bhushan Award for his contribution to the IT business. According to Forbes, his total wealth is around $ 16 billion, or about Rs 1,20,000 crore.
