Sensex opens at new record level, crosses 41000 for the first time

The stock market rally continues. The Bombay Stock Exchange, or the BSE Sensex, is continuously creating new records. The index opened at a new record of 41,022.85 on Tuesday. This is the first time the Sensex has opened beyond the 41,000 level. On the other hand, the NSE benchmark Nifty climbed 36.45 points to open at 12,110.20. On Monday, Asian markets gained momentum on the expectation of progress in the trade deal between the US and China, which also affected the Indian market.

The sentiment was also bullish on the arrival of foreign funds in Indian stocks on hopes that the US Federal Reserve would maintain the soft monetary policy. Even today, positive sentiment is visible in the market due to these reasons.

Sensex crosses 41000 for the first time

The early trade saw the Sensex grow rapidly. The Sensex was up 216.48 points at 41,105.71 points at 9.28 PM. At the same time, the Nifty was seen trading at 12,130.20 points, up 56.45 points. In early trade, the Sensex stocks where investors were most interested were Yes Bank, ICICI Bank, Tata Steel, ONGC and Sun Pharma. At the same time, Bharti Airtel, PowerGrid. Bajaj Auto, Axis Bank, and All & T were the leading losers.

Talking about Nifty shares, Tata Steel, ICICI Bank, Hindalco, Sun Pharma, and Yes Bank are seeing a boom and Infratel, Zee Limited, Bharti Airtel, Nestleindia and Grasim are seeing a decline.

The business of the week started in bullish mode

On Monday, the stock market benchmark index was up more than one percent. The Sensex traded at an all-time high of 40,889.23 points, adding 529.82 points. The Nifty was up 1.4% at 12,079 points.
