Worker of Maruti Suzuki turns Corona positive, stir up in company

New Delhi: An employee at India’s Manesar plant, Maruti Suzuki, the country’s largest carmaker, has been found infected with the Coronavirus. The company has issued a statement confirming this. The company has taken several big steps with immediate effect so that other people are not infected due to the virus.

According to a report by zeenews, an employee at Maruti Suzuki’s Manesar plant was found to be infected with the Coronavirus last Friday. In view of the possibility of infection in another staff, Corona has been sent for investigation. According to the company’s statement, all other people who came in contact with the infected employee are also being investigated. It is worth mentioning that Maruti Suzuki resumed work at Manesar plant in Haryana on May 12 after 40 days with about 2,000 employees.

On April 22, the company received permission from the local administration to start production at the unit with a limited number of workers. Between the commencement of the fourth phase of the lockdown, the number of workers employed is about one-fifth of the total workforce at the Manesar plant, employing a total of 10,000–12,000 workers.
