The Dongfeng-26 has been dispatched into the PLA Rocket Force, China’s Defense Ministry representative Wu Qian said at a media preparation here.
BEIJING: China today said it has charged another atomic fit moderate range ballistic rocket that can do exactness strikes against land-and ocean based focuses into the People’s Liberation Army or PLA Rocket Force.
The Dongfeng-26 has been authorized into the PLA Rocket Force, China’s Defense Ministry representative Wu Qian said at a media preparation here.
The rocket was totally created by the Chinese and will serve for atomic strikes in short notice and traditional exactness strikes against focuses ashore and substantial and medium-sized warships, Mr Wu said.
“China has not changed its guarded atomic technique nor the strategy of no-first-utilization of atomic weapons,” he said.
While there is no official declaration about the scope of the rocket, protection specialists say it is equipped for hitting US army bases on Guam, the biggest and southernmost of the Mariana Islands.
