Sensex plunges 445 points as market opens, Nifty falls below 12,000

On the first trading day of the week i.e. Monday, the stock market fell strongly as it opened. At 9:31 am, the Bombay Stock Exchange’s flagship index Sensex was trading at 40,724.14 levels after falling 445.98 points, or 1.08 percent. At the same time, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange was trading at 11,945 levels after falling 135.85 points i.e. 1.12 percent.

On Monday the stock market fell strongly as it opened

The Sensex opened 393.57 points, or 0.96 percent, at 40,776.55 in early trade. At the same time, the Nifty opened at 11,989.10 levels after falling 91.75 points, or 0.76 percent. Investors will be eyeing the trade agreements between the two countries during US President Donald Trump’s visit to India, which will affect the market.

Such was the situation of veteran shares

Talking about the big stocks, today the shares of Infratel, Infosys, Sun Pharma, Bajaj Auto, IOC, UPL, Asian Paints, Cipla and HCL Tech opened on the green mark. Tata Steel, Tata Motors, IndusInd Bank, Vedanta Limited, ICICI Bank, JSW Steel, Bajaj Finance and Reliance started on the red mark.

The decline occurs in other Asian markets

Due to the decline in other Asian markets, this decline is seen in the stock market. Outside of the coronavirus spread in China, the global growth crisis is being witnessed by the outbreak in South Korea, Italy and Central Asia and the increase in the number of virus-infected people and corona deaths there.

Sectoral index tracking

If we look at the sectoral index, then all the sectors opened on the red mark today. These include IT, Auto, Realty, Pharma, Media, Private Banks, FMCG, Metal and PSU Banks.

This was the condition of the stock market during the pre-open

The stock market was at the red mark at 9:10 am during the pre-open. The Sensex was down by 133.11 points, or 0.32 percent, at 41,037.01. The Nifty was at 12,012.55, down 68.30 points, or 0.57 percent.

The rupee opened at 71.89 level against the dollar

The rupee opened 24 paise against the dollar today after opening at 71.89. Also, the rupee had closed at 71.65 against the dollar on the previous trading day.

The market closed on the red mark on Thursday

The stock market closed on the red mark after trading for the day on the last trading day, ie Thursday. The Sensex was down 152.88 points, or 0.37 percent, to close at 41,170.12. At the same time, the Nifty closed at 12,080.85, after losing 45.05 points, or 0.37 percent. The market was closed on the occasion of Mahashivaratri on Friday.

The market was open on the previous trading day in decline

The stock market opened with a fall on the fourth trading day of the week. The Sensex opened at 41,245.74, a drop of 77.26 points, or 0.19 percent. At the same time, the Nifty opened at 12,114.45, after falling 11.45 points, or 0.09 percent.
