Bengaluru, July 7 — IT major Infosys flew back some of its employees and their family members in a special chartered flight, who were stranded in the United States due to the coronavirus pandemic and visa issues.
Some 200 people-employees and their families-were flown to Bengaluru from the US in a special flight.Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani, retweeting a post, wrote on Twitter: “Infosys: compassionate capitalism at work!”
However, Air India and other private domestic airlines have been operating international repatriation flights under the Vande Bharat Mission, which commenced on May 6.
