Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das on Saturday said that Corona is the biggest health and economic crisis of the last 100 years. He said this while giving a statement in ‘7th SBI Banking and Economic Conclave’. Das told, Corona is the biggest economic and health related crisis of the last 100 years. Due to this, unprecedented negative impact has been seen on production, jobs and health. This disaster has impacted the already existing global system, global value chain and labor and capital movement in the world. Das said that the Corona epidemic is by far the biggest test to test the strength and resilience of our economic and financial functioning.

RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das said that in this period of trouble, to save the country’s financial system and to support the economy, the RBI has taken a variety of steps. He told that central bank economic growth is the biggest priority of RBI. He said that financial stability is also equally important. He also said that the RBI has strengthened its surveillance system to mark the risk.
