Fuel prices have been increased across the country, but their prices may vary depending on VAT or local sales tax in each state. Oil companies have raised prices of petrol and diesel on Sunday for the eighth consecutive day after postponing the review of prices for 82 days. In eight days, petrol has increased by Rs 4.52 per liter and diesel by Rs 4.64. This record increase in rates since the introduction of the daily price revision. One consumer said that this lockdown would put an extra burden on our pockets.

The price of crude oil reached the lowest level of a decade in April due to the corona virus epidemic. India imports 85 percent of its oil requirement. Officials said the daily review of oil prices was halted due to excessive volatility in the international market. Now the daily price review has been started again.
