This company is offering jobs in large number amid lockdown

Between the lockdowns across the country, the online grocery platform Grofers will appoint 5000 people to deliver the goods with their orders. The company has partnered with Resident Welfare Associations (RWA) of more than 100 societies in metros to provide essential commodities to a large number of people during the 21-day lockdown imposed to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

While outlining the steps taken by the company in the last three weeks, its co-founder and CEO Albinder Dhindsa said that more than 1.5 million people are trying to place orders daily through the Growers app .

In his statement, he said that, more than 15 lakh people are coming to our app every day to place orders. Due to less staff, we are able to deliver only 1 out of 8 customers, we are looking to expand ourselves. The same, there is a 21-day lockdown across the country from 24 March which will run till 14 April. It is believed that the government may extend the lockdown period. During this time, most people are making online delivery of goods.
