Corona: Government prohibits export of this kit

The government on Saturday banned the export of diagnostic kits. With a view to discourage the export of these kits, the government has taken this step. A notification issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade states, The export of diagnostic kits is being curbed with immediate effect. The move will help combat the Covid-19 crisis as more – These kits are needed for testing more patients.

For your information, let us tell you that before this there was no restriction on the export of such products. The inclusion of these products in restricted items means that now exporters will have to obtain a license from DGFT before sending such products to another country.

Apart from this, the government has taken these steps to ensure adequate availability of these kits in the country. It is noteworthy that recently there has been a huge increase in the cases related to coronavirus in the country. With this, it has become mandatory for the country to increase its daily testing capacity.
