Modi is working for religious Freedom: US President Donald Trump

US President Donald Trump is on a two-day visit to India. He said at a media briefing on Tuesday evening that we spent a good time here. Our meetings were very good. It is a fantastic country.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump was given a 21-gun salute and guard of honor at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday morning on the second day of his visit to India. On arrival of Trump at Rashtrapati Bhavan, PM Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind welcomed him.

After the Guard of Honor at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Trump left Rajghat to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi. There he wrote a message in the visitor’s book after offering a wreath at Gandhi’s tomb. He then left for Hyderabad House. Here important talks are taking place between Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The talks are expected to focus on various bilateral and regional issues by the two leaders. These are expected to include trade and investment, defense and defense, religious freedom, the proposed peace agreement with the Taliban in Afghanistan and the situation in the Indian Pacific region.

On the violence in North East Delhi and CAA, US President Trump said, ‘We talked about religious freedom. The PM said that he wants people to get religious freedom. They have worked really hard on this. I heard of personal attacks but I did not discuss it. It depends on India.

‘Several steps are taken to curb terrorism’

On radical Islamic terrorism, Trump said, “I don’t think anyone has done more than I have done.” We have taken several steps to curb terrorism.

Good time spent in India: Trump

Speaking to reporters, Donald Trump said, “We had a great time here.” Our meetings were excellent. It is a fantastic country. There was a positive conversation with PM Modi.
