Bajaj launched its Chetak electric scooter on Tuesday after a long wait. Its ex-showroom price has been kept at one lakh rupees. The company has introduced its Urban and Premium two variants.

Bajaj Chetak Electric has a 3 KW battery and a 4080 W motor. It generates a torque of 16Nm. The battery and motor are rated IP67. That is, it is dustproof and waterproof. The company claims that the battery of the scooter is fully charged in 5 hours.
The scooter has two driving modes of Eco and Sport. It gives a range of up to 95 km in eco mode when fully charged. At the same time, it will run 85 kilometers in the Sport mode. The charger will be given free with the scooter. At the same time, the company will install the Fast DC Charger to your home for free.

The company has given the scooter a retro look. It has round headlamps, 12-inch alloy wheels, and single-side suspension. It is the first scooter in the country with a full metal body. The scooter can be connected with the company’s app. After which important information like its range, charging, location will be found on the phone itself. In the mobile app, features like scooter mobility solution, data communication, security, user authentication have also been provided.

It will also get a reverse driving feature. That is, it can be easily reversed in a place like a slope. This feature will also make driving easier for women. Bajaj first launched the scooter in Pune. Later it will be launched in cities like Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, and Hyderabad. The company is also giving a warranty of 3 years or 50,000 km on it.
