Chidambaram reaches Parliament, protests against government

There has been an uproar in the country regarding the prices of onions, but Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman says that she does not eat onions so she does not mind. This statement of the Finance Minister has sparked political outrage and former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram, who came out of jail after 106 days, has attacked her. P. Chidambaram says that the government which asks to eat fewer onions should go away.

P. Chidambaram, who reached Parliament House on Thursday said, “… the government which advises people to eat less onion and garlic, it should go away. In terms of economy, this government has completely failed.

On Thursday, the Congress party held a protest in the premises of Parliament House, P. Chidambaram also took part in this demonstration and chanted the government.

P. Chidambaram came out of jail on Wednesday after getting bail from the Supreme Court in the INX Media case. P. Chidambaram, who came out of jail after 106 days, will take part in the proceedings of Rajya Sabha today.

The ruckus over Nirmala’s statement

Explain that during the Lok Sabha proceedings on Wednesday, when Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was giving a speech, she commented on the onion. Nirmala Sitharaman replied on onion from the Congress leader, “..” I do not eat that much taste, onion. I come from a family where I do not eat an onion. ‘
