New Delhi. On the first day of the 17th Lok Sabha, on Monday, the newly elected members of Bhopal MP Pragya Thakur took oath. There was a dispute about his name during the oath. Pragya added the name of spiritual guru before the name. Opposition MPs protested and shouted at this Pragya took oath in Sanskrit and finished it with the slogan of Bharat Mata Ki Jai. Pragya has won the election from Bhopal against former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh.
Pragya Thakur added Swami Full Chetanand Awadheshand Giri in front of his name during the oath. Opposing this, opposition MPs said that it should not be allowed. On opposing opposition MPs, Pragya said that this is her full name and she has mentioned it in the form to be filled in for taking oath.
