Storms Returns in Market, Sensex open above 40,000

The stock market opened on the green mark on Tuesday, the second trading day of the week. Bombay Stock Exchange’s flagship index Sensex opened at 40,162.92 after gaining 290.61 points, or 0.73 percent.

At the same time, the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty opened at 11,817.85 after gaining 109.85 points, or 0.94 percent.

Talking about the big stocks, today the shares of Infratel, IOC, G Limited, Tata Mochures, Vedanta Limited, Coal India, HCL Tech, GAIL, and Tata Steel opened on the green mark. At the same time, shares of Bajaj Auto, Sun Pharma, and Hindustan Unilever opened on the red mark.

Sectoral index tracking

If we look at the sectoral index, then all the sectors opened on the green mark today. These include FMCG, Auto, IT, Metal, Media, PSU Bank, Private Bank, Realty and Pharma.

This was the condition of the stock market during the pre-open

The stock market was at the green mark at 9:10 am during the pre-open. The Sensex was up 306.43 points, or 0.77 percent, at 40,178.74. The Nifty was at 11,786.25 after gaining 78.35 points, or 0.67 percent.

The rupee opened at 71.21 level against the dollar

Today, the rupee opened up by 15 paise to 71.21 against the dollar. Earlier on Monday, the rupee closed at 71.36 against the dollar.

The market was closed on the green mark on Monday

The stock market closed on the green mark on the last trading day i.e. Monday after trading for the day. The Sensex closed at 39,872.31 after gaining 136.78 points, or 0.34 percent. At the same time, the Nifty closed at 11,724.05 after gaining 62.60 points, or 0.53 percent.

Sensex opened at 39,720.26 on the previous trading day

The stock market opened on a slight decline on the previous trading day. The Sensex opened at 39,720.26, down 15.27 points, or 0.04 percent. At the same time, the Nifty opened at 11,653 levels after dropping 8.85 points or 0.08 percent.
